Here is what Trip said about Jim at his memorial at Sisters Oregon:

It is wonderful to see all of you. Family and Friends of Jim Cristiano. One of the best friends I ever had. I feel like I know all of you because all of you knew Jim.

Look forward do not look back. One of my philosophies. However on a day like this we need to look back so we can look forward. Back across a wonderful life.

Jim a Professional and Adventurist. I say professional because everything he did was attended to in a professional fashion whether he was at work or at play. I know this because we worked in the same company together and he was meticulous in everything he did.

An adventurist is defined by the Urban Dictionary as: One who would climb mountains, jump out of planes and dive below the surface of the water in search of Adventure. That defined Jim.

As and adventurist he carefully researched all aspects of the sport or adventure he was doing.

Jim embraced life. He did so many things.

Jim was basically a scientist of life and all its wonder. As I look back today, so many cool stories about Jim come to mind. However I just have to sum it up and say that when I was with Jim he always made what we were doing more fun and interesting.

And now, most importantly, what Jim has given us, his two awesome sons whom he was so proud of. With them we will now look forward. The way Jim adventured in life will live on with his sons. And of course! With all of us too.
